4,000 Crosses

+ 4,000 Crosses Beginnings

Welcome to 4000crosses.com. Here you can hear my pro-life songs and other Christian and inspirational music.

On a business trip to Evansville, Indiana in December 2005, I drove past a large display of thousands of white crosses in a farmer's field. In that very instant God gave me inspiration for a song, and over the next few days "4,000 Crosses" was born.

The Vanderburgh County (Indiana) Right to Life chapter has been erecting this field for several years, and it stands from November until the planting season starts again on the farm, which is owned by the Durchholz family. It stands as a quiet but powerful display of the passion for unborn life that exists in the Evansville community.

The reaction to "4,000 Crosses" has been a humbling and overwhelming experience for me. It was the subject of a news article in the Evansville Courier and various interviews on Christian radio programs in Indiana and Kentucky. It is being sung in churches, shared in pregnancy counseling centers, and performed at several Right to Life banquets and other events. Many lives are being changed as a result of the haunting message of this song and the vivid picture of God's love it portrays.

+ Two New Pro-Life Songs

My first two songs of 2009 are both pro-life songs. Tiny Voices speaks of those small voices we hear in our hearts (the voice of God, and the voices of the unborn)...and when we hear these voices, we are compelled to act on what they say. Sidewalk Warriors is a song that honors those who are dedicated to work on the front lines of today's spiritual battles. I was inspired to write this song by seeing the dedication of the men and women who give of their time to counsel the women and men who are making abortion decisions. Click below to listen to these songs. MP3 downloads of these songs are available on the Order Page.

+ Listen to "If You Are An American"

This song was written to inspire and motivate the pro-life movement in light of the 2008 presidential election. It was literally written the weekend after the election. It was featured (world premiere performance) at the nation's largest pro-life banquet in Evansville, Indiana on April 16, 2009, the banquet that featured appearances and speeches by Governor Sarah Palin and Michael Steele (Chairman of the Republican National Committee). I believe it will eventually be used all over the country at churches and at various pro-life events, patriotic events and memorial services.

You can hear the song by clicking below. On the Order Page you can purchase a download or a CD of the song. We also offer sheet music and a soundtrack for those who want to use their own singer to perform it at your church or pro-life event. My friend and co-writer, Simeon Amburgey, wrote the music for this song and adds his marvelous vocals as well.

Soon, we will have a video clip of this song and a powerful presentation of images with a strong pro-life and patriotic theme. This video will be made available to churches and pro-life groups for display at their services and events.

+ Listen to "The Last Time I Cry"

In December 2006 I was inspired to write a song that offers hope and healing to people who have made abortion decisions. "The Last Time I Cry" talks about the day when their grief and tears will end. It is a tender song that is already having a positive effect on post-abortive women.

You can order a copy on the Order Page. You can also purchase a three-song CD that features this song along with "4,000 Crosses" and "If You Are An American."
