Songs
- Don't Cry For Me -- © 2004 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
This is a very special song and has touched many people. The inspiration for this song was in some ways similar to my experience with '4,000 Crosses.' I was alone in my car when this song came to me. This song is from the perspective of a loved one who has passed away and who is trying to comfort you with a picture of what heaven is like. When you listen to this song, I believe you'll hear the voice of someone dear to you.
- I Believe Our Love -- © 2005 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
I wrote this as a song to be used during the candle-lighting ceremony at weddings. The inspiration for this song comes from my marriage of over 30 years to my beautiful wife Janet.
- I Bring You Worship -- © 2002 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
'I Bring You Worship' is one of my earliest songs, and I believe it may be one of my best ones. It's a simple personal expression to God of what I believe He requires and what He most desires from each of His children...just our worship. Listen to the beautiful arrangement by Simeon Amburgey and the incredible vocals of Colette Barney.
- If I Had Only One Day -- © 2005 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
If we only had one day of our lives to experience God's love for us, it would be enough to last a lifetime. I wrote this song about that thought.
- I'm The Whisper -- © 2002 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
Another one of my early songs, but one of the deepest in meaning. This song is based on I Kings Chapter 19. When we search for God, we have to be quiet...He's more often found in quiet whispers than in loud thunder. I love this song...it talks about how I experience God in my life.
- In His Hands -- © 2003 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
In light of all the bad news we hear in this world today, here's a song that will bring you comfort and reassurance that we are safe if we are in the hands of God.
- Just Walk With Me -- © 2004 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
A special song that God gave to me for a good friend who had lost his wife to cancer. I would subtitle it "Garnett's Song," because God used it to pick up my friend Garnett from the depths of despair. It has also ministered to many other people who have lost a spouse. God gives us what we need at the time of our greatest need...this song was what my friend needed. Give God the glory for all good gifts!
- There Is Calvary -- © 2005 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
Wow...this song really took about two years to write. My first attempts to write this song were going nowhere, so I set it aside. I came back to it later. Part of the inspiration for this song came from observing my son Daniel, who is a visual artist and graphic designer. In thinking about the qualities of great paintings, I made an analogy in this song about God's greatest masterpiece. Simeon's arrangement and vocals on this song are tremendous...this song will bless your socks off!
- You'll be There -- © 2005 Wayne Carroll (BMI)
This song is a "follow-up" to 'Don't Cry For Me.' I wanted to write a song from the perspective of the person left behind after a loved one has died, and it expresses the hope that I would want to feel in that situation. I believe this song will truly minister to many bereaved people...it provides such great comfort to those who place their trust in God and His promise of eternal life. Listen to Colette Barney's beautiful interpretation of the lyrics.
